Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office say Renato Morales Mendoza, 45, nearly drowned at Madeira Beach yesterday afternoon.
Mendoza is still in serious condition.
At approximately 4:30 p.m. deputies and fire rescue personnel responded to 12960 Gulf Blvd in Madeira Beach where Renato Morales Mendoza was discovered unresponsive in the water, just off shore.
Bystanders pulled Mendoza from the water and gave him CPR until fire rescue arrived on scene.
Mendoza was taken to a nearby hospital where he is in serious but stable condition.
