The body of David Boutwell, 53, was found under a mattress near a dumpster at the Harbor Lights Mobile Home Park on Bay Pines Boulevard Thursday night and officials say he was left there by his own brother.
Ricky Boutwell , 52, told detectives that his brother, who lived with him in an apartment on 54th Avenue North, had gotten in a yelling and physical fight Monday.
He said this brother seemed to be fine after that but that later he found David dead on Wednesday.
Police say Ricky then used garbage bags and packing tape to wrap his brother’s body up and then moved it to the mobile home park.
Detectives say there were no obvious signs of trauma to the body, but an autopsy scheduled for today will provide a clearer picture on the cause and manner of death.
The investigation will continue.
