Tampa Fire Rescue received a call at approximately 7:08 a.m. regarding a man who fell approximately 20 feet into the hull of a ship.
Officials say the 31-year-old was working on the ship, which was docked near the Port of Tampa.
Rescue personnel responded to1800 Grant Street to safely remove the man by a rescue basket shortly after 9 a.m. and is being taken to Tampa General Hospital.
The extent of his injuries is not clear, but it appears to be non-life threatening.
