BRADENTON, Fla. (AP) _ Public safety officials say a 79-year-old man died after falling from a boat that was docking at the downtown Bradenton marina.
The man fell overboard about 3:30 p.m. Sunday.
The Sarasota Herald-Tribune (http://bit.ly/KXjD3C ) reports friends told officials that the man fell as they were trying to dock.
They say he was choking as they pulled him from the water.
The man was taken to Manatee Memorial Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
No further details were immediately available.
