A woman was found dead in a boarding room that caught fire about 1:30 p.m. Sunday above a Westside bar, according to the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office.
Sgt. Dan Janson said emergency personnel went to Gray Beard’s Tavern in the 1330 block of Commonwealth Avenue after reports of a fire at the business. A roughly 40-year-old woman was found dead in the room where the fire is believed to have started, Janson said.
Janson said foul play isn’t suspected in the incident.
