Florida Aquarium Gets $1 Million In Funding

Roughly $1 million in federal funding will move the Florida Aquarium closer to the $15 million goal of its Rising Tides Capital Campaign.

The aquarium received the most recent funding through the U.S. government’s New Market Tax Credit program.

The Florida Aquarium qualified for the program based on the 2000 census, a written statement said.

It will use the funding to finance its education center through the Rising Tides Capital Campaign, the statement said.
