On Sunday, Officers responded to a home on 9th Avenue South, to assist the Fire Department with a fire to a vacant residence.
Upon arrival, Officers were advised that an un-responsive woman was located inside the residence with burns on 15% of her body.
The victim was transported to Bayfront Medical Hospital and is in critical condition.
There were no obvious signs of trauma to the victim’s body.
The cause of the fire and the identity of the victim has not been determined.
The investigation is ongoing.
