WINTER PARK, Fla. (AP) — Authorities in central Florida say a fight between two Lake Howell High School students led to the arrest of a 17-year-old boy.
The Seminole County Sheriff’s Office says the fight between the boy and a girl began just before 12:30 p.m. Monday.
The Orlando Sentinel (http://thesent.nl/pWa3bw ) reports the boy threw the girl to the ground.
A sheriff’s spokeswoman says the girl hit her head on the ground and was taken by ambulance to a hospital. She was treated for a cut on the head.
The boy was arrested on an aggravated battery charge. Officials say he was taken to a juvenile assessment center.
There was no word on whether the students will face suspension or expulsion from school.
