Goodbye Daylight Saving And Welcome Fall Back

Daylight saving time is coming to an end tonight, which means you will gain an extra hour of sleep each morning.

On Sunday, Nov. 5 at 2 a.m. Eastern Time in Tampa Bay daylight savings will officially come to an end. Remember to turn back your clocks before going to bed Saturday night or when you wake up Sunday morning.

As an extra precaution, fire officials recommend using the time change as a time to test or change out the batteries in smoke and carbon monoxide detectors.

The next daylight saving time change will be on Sunday, March 11, 2018. The time changes are not observed by Hawaii, portions of Arizona, Puerto Rico, the Virgin Islands, American Samoa, Guam and the Northern Marianas.
