PLANTATION, Fla. (AP) — Authorities say three people are dead after being struck by a car as they stood in the roadway after a traffic accident in South Florida.
Plantation police say two women in their 20s were in a single-vehicle crash early Saturday. A second driver stopped to help them.
The South Florida Sun Sentinel (http://sunsent.nl/xuiZoA) reports all three people were then struck by another car as they stood outside their vehicles.
One woman was pronounced dead at the scene and the second was taken along with the man who stopped to Broward General Medical Center. Both later died.
The driver of the car that struck the three people was also hospitalized. His condition was not known.
