First Lady Comes to Tampa

The First Lady is coming to Tampa today to meet with representatives from Goya Foods at their National Supermarket on Waters Avenue.

As part of a national awareness program to encourage health and wellness, Michelle Obama will visit with Goya Foods president, Bob Unanue.

Goya is the largest, Hispanic-owned U.S. food company.

The First Lady’s My Plate program is aimed at getting children to eat better, change how much they eat and make healthier choices.

Mrs. Obama visited the Bay area in October promoting her cause.

After her Tampa visit, the First Lady is scheduled to speak at Democratic National Committee receptions in Sarasota and Palm Beach.
