ORLANDO, Fla. (AP) — Authorities say a 7-year-old autistic child who ran into an Orlando street was fatally struck by three cars.
Florida Highway Patrol Sgt. Kim Montes says the boy was running from a nearby apartment complex late Wednesday.
The child was struck by one vehicle and then run over by two more vehicles. Montes says the first vehicle that struck the boy fled the scene.
Montes says the crash remains under investigation. Charges are pending.
The child died at a hospital. His name has not been released.
