FHP: Alligator Ally Closed Due To Fog

NAPLES, Fla. — The Florida Highway Patrol has closed part of Alligator Alley to motorists due to reduced visibility caused by fog.

The road, also known as Interstate 75, was closed early Friday between mile marker 101 near Naples to mile marker 23 in Broward County.

Alternate routes are from exit 101 south to eastbound U.S. 41 for eastbound travelers. Those drivers heading west can travel south to U.S. 27 to State Road 997 to westbound U.S. 41.

But troopers say conditions can change quickly, so it is important to drive with caution.
