FAA Approves Amazon Drone Testing

The Federal Aviation Administration has granted Amazon permission to test delivery drones outdoors, a victory for the massive online retailer, as they pursue their mission of speedily delivering products thru the air to consumers. Apparently, Amazon has already been testing drones inside a huge warehouse, and the FAA has placed quite a few restrictions on what Amazon can do.

We should also note that proposed FAA regulations regarding commercial drones include restrictions that would significantly limit Amazon’s long-range plans, but thanks to lobbyists and what not, proposed regulations have been known to change.
