Former Haines City police officer James Cunha is in jail, accused by three boys of raping them repeatedly for more than a year.
The boys say the 44 year old Cunha, who works now as a public safety officer at the Hillsborough Community College Plant City campus, threatened to hurt them if they told anyone.
Cunha was arrested at his Tindale Road home in Plant City, but not before a 6 hour standoff with police.
The boys range in age from preteen to teenagers.
If Cunha is convicted of custodial sexual battery, he would get life in prison without parole.
