Donald Sterling No Longer Owns The Clippers

Steve Ballmer Donald Sterling

The NBA has officially shut the door on Donald Sterling, who is now a couple billion dollars richer. The sale of the Clippers to Steve Ballmer closed on Tuesday after a California court confirmed the authority of Sterling’s wife, Shelly Sterling, to sell the team on behalf of the family trust.

The disgraced Sterling, who owned the LA team for 33 years, attempted to fight the sale in court, but was removed from the family trust when doctors found he had signs of Alzheimer’s disease and could no longer manage his affairs.
