Detectives Arrest Homicide Suspect

According to the Tampa Police Department, detectives have arrested 53-year-old James Jugo of Tampa for attempted manslaughter after an indecent last Friday in a Clearwater home.

On February 14th, officers responded to an unexplained death.

After the autopsy, the Medical Examiner determined that the victim, 57-year-old Benjamin Calderon of Tampa, died from blunt force trauma to the head and internal bleeding. During an interview, the suspect admitted to hitting the victim on the head, face and body with his fist. A witness gave a statement that she saw the suspect hit the victim with a board. The victim and the suspect are roommates and they had an argument.
