Deputy’s Home Robbed Then Set On Fire

MILTON, Fla. (AP) _ The Santa Rosa County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the burglary and arson of a deputy’s home in northwest Florida.

Authorities say Lt. Chris Watson and his wife were out of town when the home was robbed on April 21.

It was then set on fire, which caused extensive damage.

A press release from the sheriff’s office says firearms, ammunition, bulletproof vests and other law enforcement items were taken from the home.

Also stolen were electronics and jewelry.

Watson’s patrol car was vandalized and his personal car was stolen.
