DC Hospital Monitoring Possible Ebola Patient

Howard University hospital in Washington D.C. confirmed Friday that they are monitoring a patient, who traveled to Nigeria recently, with symptoms associated with Ebola, according to Doug Stanglin of USA Today.

Spokesperson Kerry-Ann Hamilton says the patient — who is unidentified — is in stable condition.

“In an abundance of caution, we have activated the appropriate infection control protocols, including isolating the patient. Our medical team continues to evaluate and monitor progress in close collaboration with the CDC and the Department of Health,” Hamilton said in a statement.
