A New Smyrna Beach man has been arrested for allegedly cooking meth in a restroom at a public park.

Authorities say Justin Hill, 20, was trying to set up a meth lab inside the men’s restroom at Detwiler Park.

On Tuesday morning, a construction worker noticed a smell of chemicals and acid coming from the restroom and called 911 around 8 a.m., according to the Daytona Beach News Journal.

He said he saw smoke coming from inside and saw a man running from  the area with a bag in his hand around 8 a.m.

Police and a hazardous materials team discovered a one-pot meth lab inside.

Hill was arrested on charges of manufacturing or delivering methamphetamine, possession of cannabis, possession of paraphernalia and burglary of an unoccupied dwelling, according to the Volusia County Corrections.

This wasn’t Hill’s first run-in with the law. In fact, he’s been arrested five times in the last 12 months.

Records show he’s been arrested for burglary of both occupied and unoccupied dwellings, possession of marijuana, possession of a schedule V substance (opiates and stimulants, as defined by the United States Controlled Substances Act), paraphernalia, resisting an officer without violence, interference without custody, battery on an emergency medical care provider, child abuse, felony battery and trespassing.

Walter White "Breaking Bad"

Based on the information provided, his story isn’t nearly as compelling as the terminally-ill Walter White from “Breaking Bad,” but you can’t help but feel sorry for a guy who’s resorted to making drugs where people defecate on a daily basis.
