MORRISTON, Fla. (AP) — Two north Florida men died when their small plane crashed minutes after taking off from a Levy County airport.

Authorities say 74-year-old Ralph Ken Terry and 47-year-old Mike Fuller died at the scene of the Saturday afternoon crash. The Levy County Sheriff’s Office released their names Sunday. The men were from Volusia County.

According to the sheriff’s office, a witness reported that the plane’s engine sputtered just after taking off about 4:30 p.m. Saturday.
