British police are to be given new powers to seize the passports of terrorist suspects and stop British jihadists from returning to the UK.
Prime Minister David Cameron outlined his proposals in parliament. He said It was abhorrent that some British citizens had declared their allegiance to groups like Islamic State. Powers to monitor suspects in Britain will also be strengthened under the Cameron plan. His statement’s come after the U-K’s terror threat level was raised to ‘severe’ from ‘substantial’ last week.
