Darden Announces Olive Garden And Longhorn Layoffs

Orlando-based Darden Restaurants will lay off 30 workers at its headquarters. The Orlando Sentinel reports notices went out to employees on Monday. Darden is the parent company of Olive Garden and LongHorn Steakhouse. Company spokesman Rich Jeffers says the cuts came in several departments and will give Darden a “flatter support structure.” The company is also realigning positions in employee relations, guest relations and talent acquisition from corporate into individual restaurant brands.
