ORMOND BEACH, Fla. (AP) — An Ormond Beach couple has been stabled repeatedly in their home by an intruder.
Ormond Beach Police Department spokesman Keith Walker tells the Orlando Sentinel 27-year-old Shelly Phillips awoke around 4:50 a.m. to find a man in her living room. Walker says the man then attacked her.
Shelly Phillips then called for her husband, 30-year-old Adam Phillips, who was also attacked as he entered the room.
Walker says the suspect left without taking any property or making demands. He was wearing a gray sweat shirt and a beanie. He is believed to be a thin man, around 6 feet tall between 20 and 30 years old.
Adam Phillips is in critical but stable condition and his wife is in stable condition.
The investigation is ongoing.
