According to Largo Police a truck with a camper has crashed into the Free Insurance office building Tuesday morning.
The multi-car accident happened at East Bay Drive and Fulton Street. There are serious injuries involved and a medical helicopter is en route to the scene.
Investigation is on-going, but preliminary information indicates that a Ford Dually Pick Up truck was pulling a 5th Wheel RV east bound on East Bay Dr. Another vehicle, a Lincoln Town Car was turning left (south) from west bound East Bay Dr also at Fulton. The Town Car was struck by the Pick Up/5th Wheel combo. The Pick Up/5th Wheel then lost control and struck a building at 3201 East Bay Dr.
The pickup was occupied with 3 passengers who are not seeking medical treatment. The building was occupied by one person who is also not seeking medical treatment. The Town Car also had three occupants. One was taken to the hospital by helicopter, one was ground transported, and one is not currently seeking treatment.
Largo police aren’t sure of the extent of the injuries or any victim’s names.
