PHILADELPHIA — Philadelphia police say a man charged with killing a woman at a bus stop had been worried she’d report him for stealing money from the child advocacy organization where they worked.
Investigators say 56-year-old Kim Jones suspected Randolph Sanders was stealing money from Turning Points for Children. They say the 36-year-old Sanders was afraid he would lose his job, so she followed his supervisor to a bus stop Jan. 13 and shot her in the back of the head.
Homicide Capt. James Clark says Sanders confessed Sunday.
He was arraigned early Monday on murder and firearms charges. He’s held without bail pending a Feb. 18 preliminary hearing.
He couldn’t be reached for comment. Online court records didn’t list information on his lawyer.
