Cocoa man had bullet in head didn’t know it

A bullet lodged in a man’s head lead police to a murder plot in central Florida.

Cocoa Beach Police say that when 66-year-old Paul Holloway was hospitalized last week after a minor crash, hospital officials discovered a bullet in his head. He didn’t know he had been shot.

Police later interviewed Holloway’s roommate, 22-year-olds Paul Anthony Edwards Jr., who made admissions linking him and a friend to the crime.

Police say Edwards didn’t want to share his apartment and was eyeing Holloway’s social security check. Edwards and 22-year-old Christopher M. Martin are accused of shooting Hollowing in the head while he slept on Dec. 8.

Both suspects were arrested Wednesday on attempted murder charges. They’re being held in the Brevard County without bail.
