The U.S. Coast Guard will be out in force all over Florida New Years Eve and New Years Day.
They will be looking for drunken boaters.
The blood alcohol limit for boaters is .08 just like it is for driving a car.
The Coast Guard will also be looking for people who use flares as fireworks.
Flares are the same thing as calling 911 on land and authorities must check out every flare sighting.
Shooting a flare in a non-emergency is a crime.
