CLEARWATER, Fla. (AP) — Just a month after his brother was charged with abusing two children under 12, a 26-year-old Clearwater man was arrested on charges of sexually abusing a young girl.
The Tampa Bay Times (http://bit.ly/N5kDRB ) reports Pinellas County Sheriff’s officials say the brothers may have abused other children. Omartin Martinez was arrested Friday on a capital sexual battery charge.
Detectives say Martinez abused a 9-year-old girl between September and November 2011.
Authorities got a tip about Martinez while investigating his brother, 24-year-old Marsanti Martinez. He’s accused of abusing two brothers while dating their mother over a four-year period.
While investigating the young boys’ allegations, officers interviewed the young girl who told them Omartin Martinez had abused her.
A phone number was not available for the Martinez brothers.
