Four people were injured in a crash on South Orange Blossom Trail during a police pursuit last night. According to the Orange County Sheriff’s Office, a man carjacked a woman in the parking lot of the Florida Mall and took off on OBT in a green Nissan Xterra. A deputy witnessed the carjacking and pursued the vehicle until it crashed with several other vehicles at Lancaster Road. Four innocent bystanders were taken to Orlando Regional Medical Center, one of whom suffered serious injuries. The suspect fled on foot and is still on the loose. Deputies say they believe the suspect is also connected to an armed robbery at the Gap store inside the mall, which was reported shortly before the carjacking.
