ORLANDO, Fla. (AP) _ A cable company is threatening to pull its services from a crime-ridden condo complex near Orlando.
The Orlando Sentinel reports BrightHouse Networks sent a letter last month informing residents of Tymber Skan on the Lake that TV, Internet and phone service will be cut Sept. 21.
Spokesman Donald Forbes wrote in an email on Wednesday that the company has experienced “multiple escalating issues” at the complex and won’t continue service until the “safety of our workforce can be assured.”
Police say the technician was robbed at gunpoint by a teenager in July.
Attorney Rob Anthony has asked Bright House to reconsider. He’s representing several property owners.
County spokeswoman Doreen Overstreet says officials plan to meet with the sheriff’s office and Bright House this week to discuss the issues.
