LOS ANGELES — Los Angeles Airport Police have confirmed an incident Thursday prompted the evacuation of a terminal at the airport.
The Los Angeles Police Department tweeted that “LAPD is now on TACTICAL ALERT due to a major incident.” Moments later LAPD tweeted that “The Citywide Tactical Alert is being scaled down to West Bureau only.”
The Los Angeles Times said that “gunfire” was reported at Terminal 3. Local CBS TV station is reporting that passengers reported being evacuated from Terminal 3 sometime after 9 a.m.
