U.S. 301 has reopened south of Ohio Avenue in Thonotosassa after a crash involving four vehicles this morning.
Florida Highway Patrol is on the scene of a four vehicle accident that involved a semi-truck caring scrap metal that rolled onto a SUV early this morning.
At the moment U.S. 301 has been closed at Ohio Avenue in both directions.
One of the vehicles crashed into a mobile home.
Nearly everyone involved only suffered minor injuries but some were taken to a hospital.
The debris field created by the crash is massive, and it’s expected that U.S. 301 will be closed for hours.
Commuters can take Mango Road to Main Street to Fowler to circumvent the closure.
