Boston Bombing Trial: Day Two

Prosecutors on Thursday conveyed the sense of fear, pain and grief caused by the 2013 attack. They did this by letting the victims do it for them.

It was too much for the defense. Lawyers for Dzhokhar Tsarnaev complained to the judge Thursday that the survivors’ testimony was too gruesome and should be limited in the future.

Defense attorney David Bruck objected to the extent of testimony Wednesday from three women who described their injuries in detail, arguing that victim impact testimony was supposed to be presented during the penalty phase of the trial. Court is dark on Friday, but Aaron was in the courtroom Thursday.
