Body of Missing FL Firefighter Found

NEWBURGH, Maine (AP) _ Maine state police say they have found the body of a missing firefighter from Florida on property owned by the relatives of the man charged with killing him.

The medical examiner’s office on Wednesday identified the body as Jerry Perdomo, who has been missing since Feb. 16.

The body was found in a rural area of Newburgh.

Twenty-four-year-old Daniel Porter was charged Tuesday with murder, and a police affidavit said Porter and Perdomo were involved in drugs and had exchanged death threats.

The affidavit says Perdomo, a Seminole County, Fla., firefighter and emergency medical technician, previously said he’d been threatened with a machine gun and wood chipper before he disappeared on Feb. 16.

Perdomo’s body was found Wednesday in a town about 16 miles from Jackson where Porter was living.
