Autopsy On Child In Freezer: Inconclusive

Authorities are still not able to say with confidence that the child’s body found in a freezer at a Bradenton home is that of a girl missing for 16 months.

An autopsy on the remains was inconclusive, likely because of deterioration and a lack of fingerprint or dental records.

Officials will now take blood samples from Janiya Thomas’ siblings and/or her mother to determine if there’s DNA match.

But that can take six weeks.

Meantime, Janiya’s mother is still tight lipped about what became of her missing daughter.

She is in jail on contempt charges.
