Another Allegiant Jet Forced To Land With Mechanical Problem

Yet another Allegiant jet has been forced to return to the St. Petersburg/Clearwater Airport after developing some kind of mid-air mechanical problem.

This time it was Flight 2874 bound for Bangor Maine.

Pilots made a U-turn near the Georgia-Florida line and returned.

Passengers were put on another plane to complete the trip.

Several Allegiant jets have has to return to the St. Pete-Clearwater Airport in recent weeks for airborne problems.
