ORLANDO, Fla. (AP) — Police say their investigation into acid bombs left on the campus of Valencia College’s west campus has resulted in the arrest of two 9-year-old boys.
Orlando police arrested the boys Thursday. A day earlier, they arrested three other boys, ages 13, 15 and 16. The arrests were made after a resident at an apartment complex gave authorities the names of boys she thought had thrown an acid bomb at her door.
The Orlando Sentinel (http://thesent.nl/yvAw92 ) reports acid bombs have been found on the college campus three times over the past few weeks. Police say luckily no one has been hurt.
According to a police report, the acid bomb did about $300 worth of damage to the apartment door.
Police say the bombs are typically made with household chemicals.
