400 Jobs Come To Tampa

TAMPA, Fla. (AP) _ A major expansion at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Tampa is bringing 400 new jobs.

The hotel and casino complex said Thursday that the $75 million project will require adding new positions ranging from cooks and servers to cashiers and gaming machine technicians.

A job fair is planned at the state fairgrounds in Tampa on April 16. Applicants must apply first at www.jobsforflorida.com .

When the hiring is done, the complex will employ more than 3,500 people.

The expansion, set to be completed this summer, will make the casino floor larger than five football fields, with more than 5,000 slot machines, 105 table games and 50 poker tables.

It will become the eighth largest casino in the world.
