Everyone has endured rush hour traffic on Interstate 275 on their way home from work or really anywhere, but it appears at some point in the future this problem can be avoided.
They key there was some point in the future, but the Tampa Tribune reports that the Florida Department of Transportation is scheduled to have two workships this week to reveal tentative plans for express lanes on I-275 to the general public. during rush hour in downtown Tampa.
The idea behind these express lanes is obiously that drivers willing to pay will be able to reach their destinations faster, but it could be up to a decade before construction even gets underway.
After that, it could take multiple years for each segment to complete and so far, no funding has been announced for any of it.
