GM responsible for 19 deaths

Attorney Ken Feinberg has linked 19 deaths to faulty ignition switches in GM vehicles — six more than the company had previously acknowledged. Feinberg was hired to investigate 125 claims from families of diseased accident victims to determine which ones are eligible for compensations.
GM says it accepts ignition compensation as more claims are processed. Families of the dead are eligible for at least a million dollars compensation. If they accept it, they compromise not to sue.
