The following will be closed Friday, unless otherwise noted.
Government & Courts
Federal, state, county offices and courts closed.
Buses and Streetcars
HART local bus routes, HARTFlex in Brandon and Northdale, and HARTPlus will operate on a Saturday schedule. The TECO Line Streetcar System will run 11 a.m. to 2 a.m. Express Routes, purple and green line In Town Trolley and HARTFlex in South County, South Tampa and Town ‘N Country will be closed.
Malls, Attractions, Museums
Most malls will be open normal hours; department store and restaurant hours may vary. Tampa Museum of Art: 11 a.m. to 8 p.m.; Florida Aquarium: 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.; Busch Gardens: 9:30 a.m. to 6 p.m.; Lowry Park Zoo: 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.; Museum of Science and Industry: 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Garbage Collection
Temple Terrace offices closed. No residential garbage collection or curbside recycling.
No residential collection in Tampa. Service for customers with collection on Friday will resume on Tuesday. Residential recycling and yard waste pickup will resume on the next regularly scheduled day. The Hillsborough County Solid Waste Management Department will collect as usual.
Utilities
Tampa Electric Co. and Peoples Gas offices open.
Post Offices, Mail Delivery
All post offices will be closed, except the Tampa International Airport office, which will be open from 9 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. There will be no mail delivery.
Schools
Hillsborough County public schools closed, but school district offices will be open.
Hillsborough Community College, University of Tampa and University of South Florida closed.
Libraries & Banks
All public libraries and most banks closed.
Recreation
All city and county recreation centers will be closed, but parks will remain open.
