An alligator caused some commotion on a Bay area highway overnight. FDOT cameras showed the gator on the southbound side of Interstate 275, just north of the 54th Avenue exit in St. Petersburg. It took a while, but animal trappers were able to catch the reptile, which was about eight feet long, and get it out of the way.
