Two burglars pick the wrong house to break into. Off-duty lakeland police officer preston chatmon came back to his north road 98 apartment tuesday afternoon to find anthony santiago and nelson rodriguez ransacking the place. Chatmon told them to stop but instead they charged at the officer. So chatmon opened fire, hitting santiago in the leg. The burglars took off on foot but chatmon got them.
