It’s been a long time, in fact it’s been 20 years since the USF Bulls did it, but they’ve done again none the less.
The Bulls are now headed to the NCAA Tournament.
However, they’ll be playing in the first round in Dayton, Ohio for a chance to take on 5 seed Temple as a 12 seed in the second round.
The Bulls will play California as part of the “First Four” games in Dayton. Both teams were two of the last four at large teams in the field of 68.
The tournament field was expanded from 65 to 68 teams last year. That’s when the “play-in game” was changed into a first round of four games, all of them played in Dayton.
USF will take on Cal on Wednesday night at 9 p.m.
