1. Clematis Street
Considered to be the heart of West Palm Beach, The Clematis atmosphere provides all of the fun-loving activities you could need. This avenue is full of unique bars and exciting restaurants that really light up in the late hours of the day. Many events and festivals are held here, such as “Moonfest” for Halloween. Whether it be a night out on the town or just an afternoon lunch date, you are guaranteed satisfaction.
2. Lion Country Safari
Being the first cageless drive-through zoo in the country, this is a zoo that you can not pass up! Drive through these sunny plains and enjoy the wild life grazing freely about your car. Here you are provided the opportunity to get up close and personal with some extreme animals. After you survive this part of the attraction, you can get out stretch your legs and enjoy the less dangerous animals. There are petting zoo’s galore, rides, paddle boats and even mini-golf. You simply can not go wrong with a visit here.
3. Kravis Center for the Performing Arts
Three stages and 2,500 seats later, The Kravis center is known for holding the most extravagant shows in town. Whether it be classical, jazz, gospel, or musicals that you enjoy, there is surely something for everyone! One of the best parts of the venue is that there is free parking in their garage, along with the option of valet of course.
4. City Place
If you enjoy shopping then this is the spot for you. City Place is located in downtown West Palm Beach, along with Clematis Street. You will find an assortment of boutique-style shops as well as mega-commercial complexes such as Macys, Sephora, and Banana Republic. There are fabulous restaurants allocated all over as well as many fountains, art, and historical monuments. Not only is this a place to shop but more importantly a sight to see. You will not regret stopping by!
5. Benny’s on the Beach
Last but not least, my personal favorite restaurant to eat at in West Palm Beach is called Benny’s on the Beach. Located right on the peer of Lake worth beach, this small two story eatery is perfect for those ocean lovers out there. You can enjoy brunch along with the cool breeze of the Atlantic ocean. There is the option of inside or outside dining, but outside is recommended! The food here is cooked to order and never disappoints. Great food and a great view- what more could you want?
