It’s official: Gwen Stefani is joining The Voice as a new coach for season seven. The former No Doubt singer announced the news on Instagram with a photo of her own version of The Voice’s iconic hand gesture and a caption reading, “It’s true!”
NBC also announced Tuesday that Christina Aguilera, who served as a coach for seasons one, two, three and five, will also return to The Voice’s line-up for season eight. Aguilera expressed her congratulations to her season seven fill-in. “So excited to have you join #TheVoice squad @GwenStefani! Welcome to our crazy fam! Kisses- xoxo #blondesdoitbest,” she tweeted.
Stefani will join Pharrell Williams as a new coach on the hit NBC singing competition. Adam Levine and Blake Shelton are also expected to return to the spinning red chairs of the NBC series.
