HBO and Paramount Television are in the early stages of making a prequel series from the 2010 movie Shutter Island, according to the Hollywood Reporter.
The show would be called Ashecliffe and would take place at the same mental hospital that saw Leonardo DiCaprio as the main character, Marshall. The drama would explore the hospital’s past.
Shutter Island did well in the box offices, bringing in $41,062,440 in the opening weekend and $128,012,934 overall.
