Sales from Bieber’s CD to Go to Charity

NEW YORK (AP) — Justin Bieber is in the holiday spirit: The singer is the first artist on the Universal Music roster to have part of his album sales benefit a charity.

Sales from “Under the Mistletoe” will go to various charities, including Pencils of Promise and the Make-A-Wish Foundation. The Christmas album is due out Nov. 1.

The 17-year-old says he’s “very happy and proud” to help others during the holiday season. He also says he’s not sure how much of the sales will go to charity.

“Under the Mistletoe” features collaborations with Mariah Carey, Boyz II Men, Chris Brown, Usher, Busta Rhymes and the Band Perry.
