Russell Brand received the news that he was banned from South Africa after arriving at the airport fully ready to head to the country.
The actor was meant to be in town to perform a stand-up gig in Johannesburg for his Messiah Complex tour.
Brand tweeted a picture of himself in front of a Virgin Atlantic sign at the airport and tweeted, “Banned from South Africa. Here ready to go. Refused entry. Hope I can come soon #MessiahComplex”
So why was the Brit not allowed to enter? Well, no official word yet on the reasoning behind the government’s decision, but Brand’s fans has their suspicions.
